Wil Blades performs in San Francisco

Organist Wil Blades and Medeski Martin and Wood drummer Billy Martin will play a duo set this April. The show will take place at New Orleans’ Blue Nile on April 30 during JazzFest. The two musicians recently collaborated in San Francisco.

In other news, Blades and Galactic drummer Stanton Moore will perform together at San Francisco’s Boom Boom Room on April 1 and 2. The shows will take place late night after Galactic headlines the nearby Fillmore. Blades will host his next Sunday Session at San Francisco’s Madrone Lounge on March 20.
