Wynton Marsalis, Michael Feinstein, Esperanza Spalding, Joshua Redman and Angélique Kidjo are among the acts scheduled to appear at Newport, RI’s annual Newport Jazz Festival. The festival will return to the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino and Fort Adams State Park from August 5-7, 2011. Other acts scheduled to appear include: Eddie Palmieri, Al Di Meola World Sinfonia, Charles Lloyd, Michel Camilo, Hiromi, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Ravi Coltrane, Randy Weston, Regina Carter, Mingus Big Band, Miguel Zenón, John Hollenbeck Large Ensemble, Buika, Steve Coleman and Five Elements, Joey DeFrancesco, Avishai Cohen with Anat Cohen, Rudresh Mahanthappa & Bunky Green, Ambrose Akinmusire, Grace Kelly with Special Guest Phil Woods, Mostly Other People Do the Killing, Brubeck Brothers, New Black Eagle Jazz Band and Berklee College of Music All Stars. Additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
