Dr. Dog will take most of the spring and summer off to work on a new studio record. After announcing an appearance at Quincy, CA’s High Sierra Music Festival on June 30, the group has added two San Francisco shows. The group will hold court at The Independent on June 28 and 29. The band boasts “expect surprises.” The group will perform at Bethlehem, PA’s Musikfest Café on May 6 as well as Boulder, CO’s Pearl Street Music & Arts Fest on May 7. Dr. Dog drummer Eric Slick will also perform with his old band American Babies at Philadelphia’s World Cafe Live Upstairs this Thursday and New York’s Mercury Lounge this Friday.
