Help Kickstart The Everyone Orchestra’s Album

In January, Matt Butler started work on the first Everyone Orchestra studio album in Brooklyn, NY. Butler recruited some of EO’s most famous alumni for the session, including Jon Fishman (Phish), Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), Al Schnier (moe.), Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green) Steve Kimock, Marco Benevento, Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), Jamie Masefield (Jazz Mandolin Project) and Jans Ingber (The Motet).

The Brooklyn Sessions album is almost ready for release but Butler looking for some additional help via Kickstarter. As he explains, “To date, this project has been self-produced and self-funded and I am almost ready to release the music. But, I need your help to raise funds for final stages of finishing the album and to get this EO Studio Series off the ground. With your support this will be the first of many incredible EO studio collaborations to come.” Fans who donate money will receive everything from an advance download to autographed photos and a special thanks in the album’s liner notes. Please click here for more on the Kickstarter campaign.

Kickstarter is for artists who need help getting started and don’t have the proper resources. For members of Phish and moe to be asking for money from their fans to me is insulting. Ive been PAYING to see Phish for the last 19 years, bought box sets and countless other merchandise, i think that should “kickstart” this project. My friend told me about this and couldn’t believe it was true. There are local artists here in Athens, Oh id rather donate my money to and not some egoistical wankfest this “album” should be. Thanks for the link to Kickstarter ill go and support some artists who really need help.

Glad to see you’re still out there bitching up a storm, Andrew Tatko. I agree with you, though. You expect this behavior from politicians, but these guys?!? Isnt it enough that people buy thier corporate branding?
