Funky Meters guitarist Brian Stoltz will travel to New York to produce The Brooklyn Jazz Warriors’ debut album. While in New York, Stoltz will perform with The Brooklyn Jazz Warriors at Brooklyn’s Public Assembly. The night will also feature Higher Organix and The Righteous Devils. Led by the lionhearted Rabbi Yisroel Arye Gootblatt on Hammond B3, Fender Rhodes and vocals, “Dangerous” Dimitri Moderbacher on upright bass and saxophones and Pete “the Heat” Karp on drums, The Brooklyn Jazz Warriors also includes “allying troops” George Saenz, Butch Phelps (of the Buck-Ups), Brian Lazarus (Mic the Robot) and Scott Kettner (Nation Beat). The Brooklyn Jazz Warriors will perform next at Brooklyn, NY’s Waystation on January 24.
