Contribute to the Robin Sylvester Fund

Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, a 501© 3 non-profit charity, has set up a fund to assist RatDog bassist Robin Sylvester. The bassist has faced severe health issues for several years, which caused him to miss RatDog’s final pre-hiatus shows in 2010 as well as the group’s recent reunion performances. Though Sylvester played a few shows in 2011, he has been hospitalized for several months and is now awaiting a kidney transplant. Funds from the Robin Sylvester Fund will be used to offset his medical bills, cost of a transplant and vital living expenses. For more information on the fund or to contribute, please click here.

Sorry he’s ill, but Rtdog and Further are NOT the Grateful Dead.

Good point that the Dead family has more than enough money to help him out.

Are Phil and Bob responsible for health insurance for everyone they’ve ever played music with? They’d go broke pretty quickly if that were the case. Now, if you want to suggest a few concert fundraisers . . .

Whats up Bob? Take care of the brother. I guess those arena gigs dont pay so well. Very sad.

To all in concern, Please don’t think for a second that Bobby &/or GD family are not there for Robin.. everyone is doing all they can, but Robin himself wouldn’t want Bobby pouring out thousands and thousands on him alone.. especially when he is responsible for the multiple charity organizations which are GD family founded. What can we do? If you are spiritual, then a simple prayer is always sufficient.. If you have a cash offering, it will be useful to Robin. Bob’s got his end covered.. and me too ;)

One more thing.. Please, lets smile & think happy thoughts for Robin.. he’d like that! Bitching at Bobby & friends is a no-no.. & he wouldn’t want to see it. This is about making Robin feel good right?

um yeah. Robin’s the shit; the Grateful Dead are more than just the band itself before Jerry died. robin is Grateful Dead and he’s my friend. If you don’t have something helpful or kind to offer, then fuck off. Robin I love you, Get well soon. I’m sending you a card. Mua xoxoxo
