Mick Jagger, Warren Haynes, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, BB King and Trombone Shorty will perform at the White House later this month. The musicians will participate in a tribute to the blues as part of the “In Performance at the White House” series on February 27. Shemekia Copeland, Keb Mo, Gary Clark Jr. and others will also perform during the program, which will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson. Booker T. Jones will perform event’s musical director and band leader. The entire event will be streamed live on www.whitehouse.gov/live starting at 7:20 PM ET. In addition, First Lady Michelle Obama will lead a related event for children at the White House earlier in the day.
