The Funky Meters have confirmed a series of late winter and early spring shows. On March 1, the legendary group will perform at Boulder, CO’s Fox Theater as part of the club’s 20th anniversary celebration. The band will then move west for shows at San Francisco’s The Fillmore on March 2 and 3. Eddie Roberts Trio (feat. Robert Walter and Jermal Watson) will open both shows while The Jazz Mafia Horns will also appear on March 3. As previously reported, The Funky Meters will also perform at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 6. The Funky Meters current lineup includes keyboardist Art Neville, bassist George Porter, Jr., guitarist Brian Stoltz and drummer Russell Batiste, Jr.
