Reports have started to trickle in from the second night of the Amsterdam destination event Jam in the ‘Dam. A night after Mike Gordon and his band debuted a cover of Jim Croce’s “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim,” the group performed The Shins’ “Kissing the Lipless” for the first time. The bassist’s set also featured Phish’s “Sugar Shack,” Son Seals’ “Funky Bitch,” The Beatles’ “She Said She Said” and a mix of other Gordon staples.

In other news, a collaboration took place during moe.’s Jam in the ‘Dam set. Partway through their performance, moe. invited out fellow festival act Keller Williams for a cover of The Band’s “Up on Cripple Creek.” Jam in the ‘Dam continues today.

Great to hear Mike & Scotty are collaborating. Gordon was always in attendence when Creek played in Burlington in late 80’s (unless Phish had a gig) & it makes me happy that they make music together.
