Influential Pacific Northwest jam/roots group Calobo will reunite for three shows later this year. The group toured the country for 10 years in the early days of the jamband scene but parted ways in 2001. Though the band’s lineup shifted a bit over time, the reunion will bring together past members
Caleb Klauder (vocals, guitar and mandolin), David Andrews (guitar and vocals), Jenny Conlee (piano), Kenneth Erlick (electric guitar), Michele Van Kleef (vocals), Nate Query (bass), and Brian Bucolo (drums.)

“We have been talking about doing this for years. We are all still friends,” Query said in a statement. “Some of us are in other bands together and we run into each other all the time. It was just never the right time. Our schedules never matched up. But I ran into Caleb at Jazz Fest in New Orleans last year and we talked about the idea of getting the band back together again. It just seemed like the right time and we felt like it could be really fun.”

Both Conlee and Query now perform in the successful indie-roots band The Decemberists. Klauder, Andrews, and Van Kleef have all also released solo records. In addition, Klauder is a founding member of the Foghorn Stringband.

The group is one of several ’90s jambands who recently reunited, including the original Stragefolk, From Good Homes, God Street Wine and Conehead Buddha, For more on Calobo, please visit Relix.com
