The Dirty Dozen Brass Band Horns, Meters guitarist Leo Nocentelli, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Ivan Neville, Galactic drummer Stanton Moore and Ernie Vincent have joined the lineup for the Preservation Hall Crescent City Revue. As previously reported, the all-star event will take place at New Orleans’ Joy Theater on May 5 as part of the Superfly During JazzFest Concert Series. The evening will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Other acts slated to perform during the Preservation Hall Crescent City Revue include: Benny Jones & Uncle Lionel (of the Treme Brass Band), Pedrito Martinez, Tao Seeger, Shamarr Allen, Little Freddie King and David Torkanowsky, among others. The evening will also feature the New Orleans Bingo! Show. Additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

New Orleans’ Joy Theatre was active from 1947 – 2003, before undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation and now features a state of the art sound and lighting system. Preservation Hall’s anniversary performance is part of the theater’s re-opening celebration.
