Banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck and jazz pianist Marcus Roberts are two of the most accomplished musicians on their respective instruments. Following a pair of collaborative jam sessions between the two at the Savannah Music Festival, Fleck agreed to join Roberts and his trio—featuring bassist Rodney Jordan and drummer Jason Marsalis—in the studio. The result is the new collaborative LP, Across the Imaginary Divide, which comes out June 5 via Rounder Records. You can receive an exclusive download of the album’s first single, “That Old Thing,” in exchange for your e-mail address over on Relix.com.
