Umphrey’s McGee played the first of two Halloween-themed “Milwaukee’s Beast” shows last night at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI. During the performance, the band busted out covers of the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Cherub Rock” and Danzig’s “Mother.” It was only the second time that Umphrey’s McGee had played “Mother,” though the band has covered “Cherub Rock” a number of times.

The show also included a few teases, with Metallica’s “Sad But True” and Gorillaz’ “Clint Eastwood” finding their way into “Resolution.” Likewise, The Police’s “Voices Inside My Head” was jammed during “Tribute to the Spinal Shaft,” and Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’” was teased during “The Bottom Half.” Umphrey’s McGee will play their second “Milwaukee’s Beast” show tonight. As previously reported, the band will also broadcast a special Halloween Day performance on AXS-TV. You can view last night’s full setlist below.
