Steve Winwood to Tour with Rod Stewart

After embracing his self-described “musician side” in recent years, Steve Winwood will showcase his greatest hits during an arena tour with Rod Stewart. Winwood will support Stewart on his Live the Life tour in North America this spring. The arena-outing is slated to kick-off in Chicago on April 10 and will come to a close in Toronto on May 1. Stewart formally confirmed the tour during an interview on Live! With Kelly and Michael saying, “I’m thrilled to be touring with Steve Winwood. He is truly part of the rock and roll’s enduring tapestry.” Winwood’s recent tours has included arena and shed runs with Eric Clapton, Santana and The Dead.

“Winwood playing jammed out Traffic/Blind Faith songs is really boring, why doesn’t he just do an arena tour playing all the hits?”... said nobody, ever.
