Jazz Fest Late Night with The Meter Men

The Meter Men featuring George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli and Zigaboo Modeliste of the Meters and Page McConnell of Phish will play a late-night Jazz Fest show at The Republic in New Orleans on Saturday, May 4. The gig is in addition to the band’s scheduled appearance at the Jazz Fest itself, which will take place the following day. The concert will begin at 10pm, with doors opening at 9. Tickets to the event will be available here on January 26 at noon CST.

As previously reported, Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, Fleetwood Mac, B.B. King, The Black Keys, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite, Willie Nelson, Patti Smith and many many more will be performing at the 2013 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

I saw 11-1-12 BB Kings & the show was outstanding. I was directly in front of Leo for the 2nd set & he blew me out of my sneakers. I was so happy i didn’t even mind walking back to my blacked out apartment in Soho. That show provided plenty of light & warmth.
