Grace Potter Covers "Casey Jones" at The Cap

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals played a rendition of the Grateful Dead’s “Casey Jones” last night at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The band closed out their show with the song, marking the first time that the group has covered the Dead on stage. The concert—which was the first of a two-night run at the Capitol Theatre—took place exactly 42 years after a Grateful Dead performance at the same venue. Potter was joined by Nocturnals guitarist Benny Yurco on vocals for the cover, which you can watch above. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will be playing at the Capitol Theatre again tonight.

In related news, Furthur recently confirmed an eight-night run at the Capitol Theatre for April. You can learn more about that upcoming series of shows here.
