Keyboardist Garth Hudson, one of two surviving members of The Band, will mark the first anniversary of Levon Helm’s passing with a special show. On April 19, Hudson and Conan/Fab Faux guitarist Jimmy Vivino will perform their Songs of The Band show at Tarrytown, NY’s Tarrytown Music Hall. The evening will feature selections from the original Band’s first four albums as well as their The Basement Tapes collaboration with Bob Dylan. The musicians will pay special attention to honoring the The Band’s three primary vocalists: Richard Manuel, Rick Danko and Helm.

For this show, Vivino—an early member of Helm’s Midnight Ramble Band—and Hudson will be joined by a number of Helm’s regular collaborators. Those musicians include: Band/Midnight Ramble guitarist Jim Weider, latter day Band drummer Randy Ciarlante, Midnight Ramble bassist Byron Isaacs and Hudson’s wife Sister Maud Hudson.

Helm passed away on April 19, 2012. One of his final shows took place at the Tarrytown Music Hall.
