FATE, or Funding America Through Entertainment, is teaming up the with the Tedeschi Trucks Band and Jim James to raise money for MANNA FoodBank. FATE will be working with the Tedeschi Trucks Band at their Thomas Wolfe show on May 2 in Asheville, NC and Jim James at his sold out show on May 3 at the Orange Peel. FATE is an Asheville-based organization, founded in 2012 by MANNA’s former communications director, Josh Stack, who got his start working with Widespread Panic and hosting fan food drives at their concerts. FATE has recruited the Oskar Blues Brewery to be the corporate food sponsor at both of the shows, guaranteeing $2000 for the MANNA Foodbank. The Tedeschi Trucks Band have also pledged an additional $1 from every ticket sold. Fans are encouraged to bring donations to be collected at the concerts.
