Lord Huron are set to support Alt-J on their fall tour run beginning in September. After a series of shows in the UK run and appearances at SXSW and Coachella, the band will continue to tour throughout the year, with upcoming festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Firefly Festival, and Newport Folk Festival.
Lord Huron’s debut album, Lonesome Dreams (out now on IAMSOUND Records), and the video for the song “Lonesome Dreams” are streaming here.
Lord Huron was originally the musical and visual solo project of lead singer and Michigan native Ben Schneider. Thw band now includes Mark Barry (percussion, vocals), Miguel Briseno (bass, percussion), and Tom Renaud (guitar, vocals). Schneider started playing music as a child, often on summer nights around a campfire on Lake Huron. Schneider’s passion for art and music often overlap, and he has composed music for various visual projects over the years, continually inspired by outdoor explorations, landscape, and water in particular. In 2010, Schneider self-released his first EP, Into the Sun, online, complete with his own original artwork.
