Austin-based Dobro virtuoso Cindy Cashdollar has been chosen as the ELLNORA | The Guitar Festival’s artist-in-residence for 2013. The event, which takes place September 5-7 at the Krannet Center at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, chose Cashdollar for her adaptable style and imaginative virtuosity. Cashdollar has earned five Grammy Awards and recorded and toured the world with Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Leon Redbone, Willie Nelson, and Rod Stewart, among others. The ELLNORA festival is held biennially, and Cashdollar will lend her artistry to sets with Dan Zanes and Friends, Kevin Breit’s Sisters Euclid, and The Lee Boys and other special events. A full line-up will be announced on June 11.
