The String Cheese Incident Will Release Their New Album in 2014

The String Cheese Incident will release their next studio album in early 2014. The group has confirmed that the album—which they have been working on since late 2012—is slated for release in the first quarter of next year. Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison has been named as the album’s producer. This is the band’s first full-length studio release since 2005’s One Step Closer.

“It’s in the can and the final mixes are happening now,” bassist Keith Moseley recently told
“Jerry Harrison from Talking Heads is doing the producing. He came in and helped us in the final stages of recording and is doing all the mixing now. So Jerry and his main engineer, Eric Throngren, are doing the final mixes now. So it’s happening and I couldn’t be more excited to finally get another release out there. It’s going to be great.”

String Cheese will perform at Rothbury, MI’s Electric Forest this evening.

hopefully someone gouged kang’s vocal chords out before hitting the studio and it doesn’t suck as much as the last couple albums….

SCI is a live band…why bother with studio recordings?

String Cheese once said they don’t do studio recordings for money…they do it more for themselves as a picture in time of their band.

So maybe they’ll do some more touring and not just a handful of dates around CO, and a few far-flung festival dates? Maybe those of us in the midwest will get to see them again? Hope so. Jerry Harrison’s done some good work as a producer. I’m curious to see what he might get out of SCI.

Hey Guys, thanks for all the music and jams!! If you are healthy and your families are O.K. we would love to see you at the Eugene Oregon venue, or any other place that is within 50 miles of Corvallis Oregon. We have beautiful parks, and you could either participate or release other bands from playing on the 3rd and fourth of July.
My son’s concert with him and I together at the Eugene venue was fantastic what a wonderful good time with excellent music Cuthbert Amphitheatre. Eugene Oregon Thanks for your music and really virtuoso jamming!!
