The String Cheese Incident will release their next studio album in early 2014. The group has confirmed that the album—which they have been working on since late 2012—is slated for release in the first quarter of next year. Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison has been named as the album’s producer. This is the band’s first full-length studio release since 2005’s One Step Closer.

“It’s in the can and the final mixes are happening now,” bassist Keith Moseley recently told Jambands.com
“Jerry Harrison from Talking Heads is doing the producing. He came in and helped us in the final stages of recording and is doing all the mixing now. So Jerry and his main engineer, Eric Throngren, are doing the final mixes now. So it’s happening and I couldn’t be more excited to finally get another release out there. It’s going to be great.”

String Cheese will perform at Rothbury, MI’s Electric Forest this evening.
