Radio Woodstock Celebrates Fifteenth Anniversary With Benefit Show And Request-A-Thon
In celebration of Radio Woodstock’s fifteenth annual Pink October Fundraiser, Rickie Lee Jones will be performing at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY on October 11. The event is designed to help Radio Woodstock 100.1 raise awareness and money for breast cancer research, with net proceeds from the show being donated to the Dyson Center for Cancer Care. Tickets range from $45 to $150 and can be purchased on Radio Woodstock’s website.
In addition to the benefit concert, Radio Woodstock 100.1’s programming will be turned over to its listeners from October 25-27 for the annual Pink October Request-A-Thon. The station will accept song requests in exchange for donations of $25 or more. Donations of $50 or more will also be rewarded with a limited edition Pink October 2013 T-Shirt and a digital download card featuring some of Radio Woodstock’s favorite artists.
Radio Woodstock’s President and principal owner, Gary Chetkof, says, “In the past three years Radio Woodstock has raised over $250,000 for breast cancer research at the Dyson Center for Cancer Care! The outpouring of support was truly amazing as our listeners and sponsors came together for a cause that affects all of us. We have high hopes that we will be able to exceed last year’s $60,000 fundraising efforts.”
