Slightly Stoopid will kick off the Jazz at the Joy series at the Joy Theater in New Orleans. The show will take place at the newly-renovated venue on Thursday, April 24, the day before the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival officially begins at the the Fair Grounds Racetrack.

Tickets for the show will be available on Friday, January 31. More artists will also be added to the Jazz at the Joy lineup in the future.

As previously reported, Eric Clapton, Phish, Arcade Fire, The String Cheese Incident, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, Santana, The Avett Brothers, Vampire Weekend, Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters, Alabama Shakes, Aaron Neville, North Mississippi Allstars, Chick Corea and the Vigil, Boz Scaggs, John Fogerty, Keb’ Mo’, Bobby Womack, Johnny Winter, Sonny Landreth and many more will perform at the 2014 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The event is set to take place April 25-27 and May 1-4, and many of the unofficial late-night shows have yet to be announced.
