A week after taking home Best British Group and Best British Album at the BRIT Awards in London, Sheffield rockers Arctic Monkeys dominated the NME Awards, winning five in total. Along with frontman Alex Turner taking home Hero of the Year (possibly for his speech at the BRIT Awards) the band notched four additional trophies including Best British Band and Album for their latest, AM.

Arctic Monkeys led all artists with eight NME nominations. Blondie picked up the top honor of the evening, the “Godlike Genius” Award. The group was on hand at the show at London’s Brixton Academy to perform a greatest hits set including “Heart of Glass,” “Rapture” and “Atomic.”
