After closing out his eight night Capitol Theatre run on Saturday night Phil Lesh moves over to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) for performances tonight and Tuesday evening, April 14 and 15, with music set to start shortly after 8:30. For this incarnation of the group, Lesh will take the stage with Warren Haynes, Jackie Greene, John Medeski and Joe Russo. Haynes is returning to the area after wrapping up a weekend at Wanee and before he heads out to Australia with Gov’t Mule.

It will be the first time that Phil Lesh has performed at the iconic Brooklyn multi-arts center and a limited number of tickets have been released for sale.

Back on May 25, 1989 Lesh’s Grateful Dead bandmate Bob Weir appeared at BAM with Rob Wasserman for a Don’t Bungle the Jungle benefit on a bill with Madonna, the Del Fuegos and the B-52’s.

Following these two gigs, Lesh, John Scofield, Jackie Greene, John Medeski and Joe Russo will perform three shows at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, from April 18-20.
