Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will present and produce his own TV series on HBO, according to a report in Classic Rock Magazine. The untitled series will expand on what Grohl set out to do in his Sound City documentary, as the frontman will visit and record at some of the world’s most iconic recording studios.

In addition to the recording, Grohl will conduct interviews with some of the artists who have recorded at each facility. Studios in consideration include Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio in Chicago, Inner Ear Studios in Washington DC, Rancho De La Luna in California as well as stops in New York, Seattle and Nashville.

Musicians interviewed for the series include Paul Stanley, Nancy Wilson, Joe Walsh and Dischord Records executive Ian MacKaye. The show is scheduled to air as part of HBO’s winter schedule.

Fans of the Foo Fighters may recall that Grohl and his bandmates have been spotted recording at some of the studios mentioned in the series. Reports surfaced that the band is recording their new album in several cities at various notable studios.
