Bob Dylan’s tour continued the other night in Los Angeles where the singer-songwriter detoured from his usual encore of “All Along the Watchtower” and “Blowin’ in the Wind” to offer up the debut of the Jerome Moross and Carolyn Leigh composition, “Stay with Me.” The tune is presumably a preview of Dylan’s forthcoming studio release, Shadows in the Night.

The song was first recorded by Frank Sinatra in 1963 and was also the main theme of the Otto Preminger film “The Cardinal.” Dylan recently surprised fans with the release of another Sinatra tune in “Full Moon and Empty Arms” which is also expected to appear on Shadows in the Night.
