Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Guns N Roses’ Duff McKagan and Screaming Trees/Mad Season drummer Barrett Martin are among the guests slated to appear at the Seattle Symphony’s “Sonic Evolution” show on January 30.

Martin and McCready are the two surviving members of Mad Season and will debut orchestral and solo arrangements of Mad Season material along with McKagan, Cornell and the symphony. The band initially formed in 1994 and featured McCready and Martin along with Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley and local bassist John Baker Saunders

The overall event is described as a celebration of the past, present and future of music with brand-new symphonic compositions inspired by local music factions Pearl Jam, Nirvana and more. Tickets to the show are available here.
