Last night at Governor’s Ball in New York City, Ryan Adams and Deadmau5 played opposite each other to close the night. While the stages were situated far away from each other, the popular DJ’s sound bled into the more intimate setting Adams and his band were putting on. This led to some frustration from the singer-songwriter.

“Try to make this song on your fucking iPhone,” Adams said somewhat jokingly. There didn’t appear to be any personal animosity towards the DJ, but Adams did appear to be frustrated with the sound bleed. “It’s like we’re living in a fucking Terminator nightmare,” he joked later on in the set before a quiet rendition of “Oh My Sweet Carolina.”

All in all, it appears as if Deadmau5 isn’t taking it personally either, as the DJ took to Twitter to express some confusion and disappointment with Adams’ comments but also understanding the situation. “He was just bummed about the sound bleed. Don’t really blame ‘em. Poor fest planning,” he later tweeted.
