Widespread Panic were joined by Nicky Sanders during Wednesday night’s performance at the AT&T Opera House in Dallas. The Steep Canyon Rangers fiddler took the stage for much of the show, including the “Driving Song” > “The Take Out” > “Porch Song” > “Breathing Slow” > “Driving Song” sequence that wrapped up the first set.

Sanders then returned to close out the second set with a “Surpise Valley” that segued into Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime” before helping end the show with an encore “May Your Glass Be Filled” that became Neil Young’s Buffalo Springfield classic “Mr. Soul.”

Wednesday’s sit in marked Sanders latest collaboration with Widespread Panic, as the fiddler first joined the group in Asheville on November 9, 2013. Sanders and his group the Steep Canyon Rangers are currently backing Steve Martin and Martin Short on their Very Stupid Conversation comedy tour.
