Dave Matthews Band’s second of two shows at the Gorge Amphitheater found the group welcome out a series of very familiar guests throughout the two set show as Joe Lawlor and The Lovely Ladies both made appearances.

The longtime crew member grabbed his guitar during the second set for “Rhyme & Reason,” a popular tune for Lawlor to sit-in on. He then gave way to a four-song run with The Lovely Ladies as they added their vocals to the newer “Drunken Soldier,” “Everyday,” “Lying in the Hands of God” and the latest new tune from the band, “Be Yourself.” They would also return later in the set for Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House.”

Other highlights from the show include the first acoustic “Down By the River” in the band’s two-set format. The Neil Young cover recently made its comeback and has been played three times this year. The acoustic set also marked the first time “Lover Lay Down” has appeared in the set as well as the first “So Much to Say” set opener since 2008.

DMB return to the Gorge tonight.
