Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off a three-night run at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN last night and welcomed out some close associates to the group throughout the show, including former ABB guitarist Jack Pearson as well as Steve Cropper, whose resume includes stints in Otis Redding’s backing band.

Cropper came out first on Wilson Pickett’s “Ninety-Nine and a Half (Won’t Do)” about halfway through the set. Cropper then stayed on for the following tune, a TTB original “In Every Heart” before departing.

Pearson joined in a few songs later for a pair of set-closing originals in “I Want More” and “Let Me Get By,” the title track from the group’s latest album. Pearson then stayed on for both songs in the encore including “Midnight in Harlem” and a show-closing tribute to the late David Bowie with his own “It Ain’t Easy.”

TTB will return to the Ryman tonight.
