Seu Jorge, the Brazilian musician who contributed a collection of sparse, Portuguese David Bowie covers to the soundtrack of Wes Anderson’s The Life Aquatic, will return to the material on November 11 for an all-Bowie performance at New York’s Town Hall.

Jorge also appeared in the film as Pelé dos Santos, who played his acoustic renderings of Bowie songs like “Space Oddity,” “Life On Mars,” “Five Years” and more throughout the movie. As Brooklyn Vegan notes, Bowie himself applauded the covers, saying, “Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs in Portuguese, I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with.”

More information for the Town Hall concert, which is currently the only scheduled US date for Jorge, can be found here. Watch clips from The Life Aquatic featuring Jorge and his Bowie covers below.
