The James Brown Dance Party, a traveling collaborative tribute to the late Godfather of Soul that debuted early last year, has announced a run of Northeast dates for this fall.

The all-star cast of musicians featured in the show includes vocalist Elise Testone, Rubblebucket’s Adam Dotson, Antibalas’ Morgan Price, Freekbass of The Original JB’s, Jazz is Phish’s Adam Chase and Carter Yasutake, who has played with LCD Soundsystem and David Byrne. Special guests on select nights of the run will include James Brown collaborators Mousey Thompson and Amy Christian, plus The Bridge’s Patrick Rainey and Dopapod’s Chuck Jones.

The three-date run will start out in Baltimore on October 13, move to Saratoga Springs, NY, the following night then round out with an October 16 show in Fairfield, CT. See the schedule below.
