The first act set to play next year’s Governors Ball in New York City is reportedly rock icons Tool, as Consequence of Sound announced earlier today that they learned of the band’s headlining plans. The performance would mark Tool’s first New York appearance in over 10 years.

Although Tool embarked on a tour earlier this year, the follow up to the band’s 2006 album 10,000 Days continues to elude fans. Frontman Maynard James Keenan released an autobiography called A Perfect Union of Contrary Things last month.

According to COS, Gov Ball representatives are not commenting on the news, saying that the full lineup will be revealed in early 2017. The festival will return to New York’s Randall’s Island Park on June 2–4. Tickets will go on sale when the lineup is announced.
