The String Cheese Incident wrapped up their run at 1stBank Center in Broomfield, CO, last night with a New Year’s Eve celebration that featured three sets of music including a dusted-off Grateful Dead cover and a theatrical stunt at midnight.

The show kicked off with a first set that opened up with “San Jose” and featured covers of both the Allman Brothers Band’s “Hot ‘Lanta” and the band’s first run of the Grateful Dead’s “Deal” since August 6, 2004. The second set included a couple more minor bustouts, as the group brought out the year’s first “Orange Blossom Special,” while “Walking on the Moon” made its first appearance in over two years.

Set number three began with “You’ve Got the World” before “Just One Story” brought the band and the crowd into the new year with balloons, confetti and performers coming down from the ceiling on a flying horse carousel. String Cheese would later round out the night with a rousing encore of Bob Dylan’s “Quinn the Eskimo (Mighty Quinn)” and “Sittin’ On Top of the World.”
