On New Year’s Eve, Les Claypool played a marathon show with three of his current projects, Primus, The Claypool Lennon Delirium and his Duo de Twang, and the bassist welcomed saxophonist Skerik to the stage with each performance.

Duo de Twang, Claypool’s side project with his friend since high school, guitarist Bryan Kehoe, got things started with a short set that featured Skerik joining in on “Buzzards of Green Hill,” a tune by The Les Claypool Frog Brigade, of which Skerik was a member. The band also covered Primus’ “Jerry was a Race Car Driver.”

Next up was Claypool’s most recent project, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, who delivered several cuts from their 2016 debut album Monolith of Phobos, along with covers of Pink Floyd, King Crimson, The Who and The Beatles, along with another Frog Brigade tune, “Cosmic Highway,” again with Skerik as a guest.

Primus then closed out the night with a headlining set that featured many fan favorites like “John the Fisherman” and rounded the show out with another run of “Jerry was a Race Car Driver” before the rest of The Claypool Lennon Delirium and Skerik joined the band for “Southbound Pachyderm.” Watch video of the night above and below.
