Bill Kreutzmann’s Rooster Conspiracy will debut at the virtual music festival Streamstock with a 30-minute set of improv beginning at noon today.

To coincide with the Presidential inauguration, Kreutzmann will be joined by Eric Krasno, Reed Mathis and Todd Stoops for the first incarnation of this new project. In addition to the live performance, Kreutzmann will also release the only known footage of the group to date, a barn jam at the drummer’s house held on January 2. Watch part one of that performance below.

Kreutzmann explained further on his Facebook page, saying that “given what’s happening in Washington, DC today, January 20, I figure that we could all use as many positive vibrations as possible, and we should all be setting a positive intention for ourselves and the coming year and beyond.”

Tune into Streamstock here featuring Rooster Conspiracy as well as performances from Ani DiFranco, Hot Buttered Rum, The Wood Brothers, Lettuce, Greensky Bluegrass and more.
