On March 1, Nigel Hall and his band will host Brooklyn is Motown, a tribute to the legendary music of the Detroit soul movement, at Brooklyn Bowl, and Hall will be welcoming some special guests for the evening.

Joining the host band will be Dap-Kings horns Cheme Gastelum and Dave Guy, along with In Living Colour’s Corey Glover. The night will feature one set covering all of Marvin Gaye’s iconic 1971 album What’s Going On in full and another set of Motown favorites. Remember Jones will be providing support for the show.

More information on the event can be found here. Below, watch Hall join Ivan Neville, Tony Hall and Eric Bloom for a cover of Gaye’s “Inner City Blues” from What’s Going On during Neville’s solo set on this year’s Jam Cruise.
