The National seem to be gearing up for the announcement of their new studio album, as the band shared a short teaser video last night that features what may be a snippet of the upcoming record.

The video, which looks like a newscast with odd images of windows and the outsides of buildings, is captioned “Sleep Well Beast” and also includes the phrase “The system only dreams in total darkness.” Watch below.

The National haven’t released an album since 2013’s Trouble Will Find Me, but the band debuted a new song, “Turtleneck,” earlier this year. As Stereogum points out, there are those on Reddit who found some strong hints that the new album announcement, along with possible a single and probably some tour dates, could be coming this week.
