Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band wrapped up their three-night return to Colorado at the Fox Theatre in Boulder with special guest Jimmy Herring, who sat in after playing three nights at Red Rocks with Widespread Panic.

Herring joined the fold for much of the second set beginning with “St. Stephen” and continuing with covers of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” as well as “The Eleven,” “Not Fade Away,” David Crosby’s “Almost Cut My Hair” and “Box of Rain.”

Herring is of course a member of Phil Lesh’s “The Q” lineup, which has played recent shows together at the Capitol Theatre and Forest Hills Stadium. That lineup features Lesh and Herring as well as Warren Haynes, John Molo and Rob Barraco.
