Umphrey’s McGee wrapped up their first ever three-night run at Red Rocks with a double-bill featuring an opening set from Bruce Hornsby before the night’s headliners followed with a two-set show heavy on some of their live staples as well as a few surprises.

The first set featured no guests but did see the group dig into some lengthy takes on songs like “August” and “Ocean Billy” as well as a heavy “Wizard Burial Ground” dedicated to America’s birthday.

While the second set got off to a routine start with newer songs “Attachments” and “Day Nurse” as well as the following “2nd Self,” vocalist Jen Hartswick emerged for a debut cover of Rush’s Moving Pictures track “Red Barchetta.” Hartswick later stayed on for the mashup (and Zonkey track) “Electric Avenue to Hell” which she sings the AC/DC vocals along with Jake Cinninger.

Umphrey’s tour resumes this week in New York at Central Park’s Summerstage.
