The famed Joshua Light Show will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a series of special shows next month. The performances will take place at New York’s Skirball Hall at NYU, just a few blocks from where the Joshua Light Show made its name at the famed Fillmore East. Joshua Light Show, who helped popularize the modern rock light show, also illuminated the original Woodstock. The 50th anniversary performances will feature punk-blues musician Boss Hog and Dave Harrington Group on September 8 and John Colpitts’ Man Forever and electronic music composer Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith on September 9. Joshua White and his liquid light team hosted similar shows at NYU in 2012 and 2014.
