Pink Talking Fish have confirmed that they will cover the always colorful between-song banter by Pink Floyd bassist and songwriter Roger Waters, Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio. According to band founder Eric Gould, Pink Talking Fish plan to weave the portions off all three narratives into a new, seamless set of words. “The entire band recently saw solo shows by Roger, David and Trey and had this ‘ah ha’ moment,” Gould said. “Sometimes it’s the talking between the music that says more than the music itself.” The bassist hints that their new narrative covers will flow from portions of Byrne’s power-point presentation about the need for urban bicycle lanes into Waters’ controversial dissertation on the Middle East crisis into Anastasio’s hypothesis that the universe is indeed a donut.
