Longtime San Francisco Giants third base coach, and occasional Bob Weir and Phil Lesh collaborator, Tim Flannery has organized four benefit concerts for Bryan Stow, a Giants fan who suffered critical brain injuries when he was attacked in the Dodger Stadium parking lot after the season opener in March 2011. The first concert will take place on January 24 at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, CA. The subsequent shows will occur at the Sweetwater Music in Mill Valley, CA on January 25, The Uptown Theatre in Napa, CA on January 26 and Kuumbwa Jazz in Santa Cruz, CA on January 27. The concerts will Flannery and his band The Lunatic Fringe, along with a number of special guests. All proceeds from the events will go to the Stow Foundation. A full list of concert dates can be viewed below, and ticketing information can be found by clicking on the links.

Flannery has already helped raise almost $70,000 for the cause through various performances and DVD sales of a show. As a result, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir nominated him for Sports Illustrated’s 2012 “Sportsman of the Year” award. As previously reported, Bob Weir joined Flannery and the Lunatic Fringe at a benefit for Bryan Stow at the Uptown Theatre in Napa, CA last January.
