Earlier this month we reported that Paul Simon would be performing Ladysmith Black Mambazo during a celebration of South African music at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, October 18. Unfortunately, the men’s choral group, who appeared on Simon’s classic 1986 album Graceland, have announced that the famed singer will no longer be joining them for the show. The rest of the celebration’s lineup, which includes the vocal ensemble Thokoza, bassist Bakithi Kumalo, Shabalala Rhythm and guitarist Maqhinga Radebe, will remain unchanged.

Ticketholders that have any questions about the situation may contact Carnegie Hall, though no refund information has been announced as of now.

UPDATE:

Ladysmith Black Mambazo have confirmed that Dave Matthews will be performing with them for very first time during Saturday’s show at Carnegie Hall.
