LCD Soundsystem have announced they will release two new studio tracks tonight at midnight, marking the first new recordings from the band since their highly publicized reunion last year.

As Spin reports, the two songs, “Call the Police” and “American Dream,” were among those debuted by LCD during their run at new venue Brooklyn Steel last month. Band frontman James Murphy confirmed as much in a lengthy post on LCD’s Facebook page, in which the singer notes that the songs will be released at midnight local time: “and i mean, literally, midnight. wherever you are. so, like, australia first, and so on and so forth.”

Murphy also says that the band is “seriously almost done” with the long-awaited new album, which he notes has been “one of the most enjoyable records to make in my life, if not the most fun ever (i think it is, for sure, the happiest i’ve ever been making a record.)” He then continues to explain that the album will not be out until the vinyl of it is ready, which will take longer than most albums, which release digitally first.

“Call the Police” and “American Dream” will be available digitally tonight at midnight, local time. LCD Soundystem will also perform on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
